Making space for routines that benefit you

Lately, I’ve carved out and am enjoying some things that I used to feel guilty for NOT doing. Morning meditation for one. Sharon Salzburg of Metta Hour podcast said 9 minutes of meditation a day can change your life. Been doing it for a few months (mostly) every morning. I get up at 5am when my family is still sleeping, I turn on some nice lighting, roll my yoga mat out on the chilly hardwood floor and set my timer on my cell phone for 9 minutes. Some days I’m restless and fidgety. Some days I do some moving meditation. I’ve come to look forward to it and other opportunities to carve out a few minutes for myself here and there. Namaste!
