I’ve thought about writing lately but what do you say when life is going pretty smooth? Is it true that better writing comes from more suffering? Or, maybe it’s just perfectionism creeping in a smidge- “What do I have to say that hasn’t already been said?” The last few months have been so good- who knew I could get exactly what I wanted and needed professionally? To share my expertise in a way that worked for my work-life balance, allowed me to be more present in my daughter’s life and continue with excellent self-care has been so joyful. My last theme for yoga with the little’s was Gratitude- even thought they may not have understood what that word meant, they do understand “Wish Wells” which in Conscious Discipline language is what you do when someone else is struggling or out sick.
“Explore” was the word I embraced for the summer and that’s carried over into this gorgeous fall (those colors in our part of the country were ah-mazing. For reals). Not exploring exotic foreign lands (that’s on my list too) but some pretty interesting internal lands. Reflection has been a lovely part of this time of exploration as I look forward to this upcoming weekend. Kripalu. I get to attend a world-renowned yoga retreat center and take yoga classes all weekend. Me time, yeay! I cannot wait to return to the Northeast, gloomy weather and all, connect with a dear friend and spend some quality time engaged in a passion project that started over 20 years ago. Fellow Wellness Warriors, whatever you are exploring, I Wish you Well. ❤
