I turned 47 today and I reflect the things I am committing to this next year. One is resisting the perfectionism that many writers struggle with and get into a writing routine. Thank you Anne Lamott for the mantra: “Butt in chair”. Commitment to my peace and using my intuition and discernment with my personal relationships. Commitment to co-creating the life of my dreams and that includes my morning meditation, my healthy habits, staying in balance. Winter birthdays also mean a lot of celebrations are contingent upon the weather and post Christmas restraints. Thankfully, the snow storm last week (which lead, incidentally, to a serious hamstring injury from a fall on the ice) has mostly cleared and I am happily celebrating with some wonderful women and then tending to my physical vessel with a massage this afternoon as I prepare for a productive week doing work I love. I look forward to the extension of my celebration as I travel to see soul family by the Atlantic coast this next long holiday weekend. Beyond grateful and blessed as I step into this next year.
